Zipline over the Chattahoochee Opening this weekend

Here it is! - The grand opening of the Blue Heron Zipline Adventure is going to take place at the Blue Heron Adventure Tower which is located on the corner of 11th St. and Bay Ave at 9:00 am on Friday morning, September 12th. The venue will offically open to the public on Saturday the 13th.

This is the only zipline connecting two states and participants will soar 100 ft over the Chattahoochee River Whitewater Park - the best man-made Whitewater Course in the World - USA Today! Achieving speeds of up to 40mph, thrill seekers will zip over to the Adventure Course which is a treetop aerial course along the Phenix City RiverWalk.

The Blue Heron Adventure will consist of 12 distinct elements for a two-hour outdoor activity that adds another level of excitement to the Whitewater Park.

After this adventure, enjoy delicious entrees from the Food Trucks (like Dee'z Buttz) on the Phenix City RiverWalk as you watch other zipliners and rafters from the only view of CutBait Rapid. Or, head back along the Columbus RiverWalk and Uptown Columbus to watch them go through Heaven's Gate at the RiverWalk Island.
